From Tuesday 19 May to Saturday 23 May, returning for its second consecutive year it’s their Shearers Shindig.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will consist of a variety of activities to choose from. Exercise classes, morning tea and talk, self-drive day trip to Hungerford, Noccundra or Kilcowera, lunch special, craft classes, river walk and talk, happy hour bingo, movie night and more.
On Thursday, the football oval will be the place to be for the rest of the week. At midday enjoy a shearers lunch followed by the Colour Run/Walk. After you all get cleaned up you can unwind and be entertained. The Shindig Comedy Evening features the hilarious comedians Bev Killick and Lindsay Webb.
Friday 22 May brings a full day of entertainment with market stalls, food vendors, big stage open mic, “The Storey Players” performance *The ghost of John King*, The Thargo Cup, featuring the famous Noah’s pig Races. Then dance the night away with "The Redneck Gentlemen".
Saturday 23 May, the day of the main event. After markets and open mic walk ups in the morning they are proud the present The Shearers Shindig - Quick Shear Competition. Followed by Ozzie bands “Simply Bushed” and "The Redneck Gentlemen”.
